Surprise Glacier Kayak Adventure

Kayak to the face of Surprise Glacier, paddling among icebergs and through pristine fjord waters. A water taxi delivers you and the kayaks to the launch point, then you paddle through a landscape of floating ice, towering glacier walls, and complete wilderness silence. The scale of the glacier from water level is awe-inspiring. All kayak gear, dry suits, and safety equipment provided. The six-hour adventure includes water taxi transfers and about 3-4 hours of paddling. No previous kayaking experience required, but reasonable fitness and comfort on water are essential. This is the most immersive glacier experience in Whittier — far more intimate than viewing from a cruise ship.
