What We Are (and Are Not)

Beyond The Ship is an information and recommendation platform that helps cruise travelers discover independent shore excursions. We aggregate publicly available excursion information, enrich it with our scoring system, and connect travelers to third-party excursion providers.

We are not a tour operator, travel agency, or excursion provider. We do not organize, operate, or directly sell any excursions. When you book an excursion through a link on our site, your contract is with the excursion provider (such as Viator, GetYourGuide, or a local operator) — not with Beyond The Ship.

Booking & Purchases

All excursion bookings are made directly through third-party providers. Beyond The Ship is not a party to any transaction between you and an excursion provider. Any issues with bookings — including cancellations, refunds, availability, or quality — must be resolved directly with the excursion provider.

We are not responsible for the accuracy of third-party pricing, availability, or excursion descriptions beyond our site.

Accuracy of Information

We make every effort to provide accurate and up-to-date information about excursions, ports, itineraries, and traveler-match scores. However, conditions change — excursion availability, pricing, port logistics, and local conditions can vary.

Our traveler-match scores, ratings, and recommendations are generated using structured analysis and are intended as helpful guidance — not guarantees. We encourage travelers to verify important details directly with excursion providers before booking.

Assumption of Risk

Shore excursions inherently involve varying levels of physical activity, environmental exposure, transportation, and other risks. By using our platform to discover and select excursions, you acknowledge that:

• You are responsible for evaluating whether an excursion is appropriate for your physical ability, health conditions, and comfort level
• Return-to-ship timing is ultimately your responsibility — our estimates are guidance only
• Beyond The Ship is not liable for any injury, loss, delay, or missed departure resulting from excursions discovered through our platform

User Reviews

Users may submit reviews on our platform. By submitting a review, you represent that your review is based on genuine personal experience and does not contain false, misleading, defamatory, or illegal content. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these standards.

Intellectual Property

All content on Beyond The Ship — including text, scoring systems, design, layout, and branding — is owned by Beyond The Ship or used under license. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

Limitation of Liability
