Ships dock at one of three cruise piers (Punta Langosta downtown, International Pier, or Puerta Maya). Punta Langosta is walkable to town; the other two piers are a short taxi ride from San Miguel.

If docked at Punta Langosta, downtown San Miguel is walkable. From International Pier or Puerta Maya, taxis are $5-8 to town. Rental scooters and cars are popular for exploring the island. Ferries run to Playa del Carmen on the mainland.
